EPCOS/TDK's compact surface-mount (SMT) common-mode chokes are designed for low-voltage DC/DC converters

Image of EPCOS/TDK's B8272x Series Common Mode ChokesTDK's B8272x series of compact EPCOS' SMT common-mode chokes are developed for low-voltage applications. These chokes sustain voltages of up to 48 VAC (50/60 Hz) and 80 VDC, and a continuous current range of 1.8 A and 19 A at an ambient temperature of +40°C. The series covers an inductance value range of 0.59 mH to 5.6 mH.

These EMC components feature noteworthy compact dimensions. Depending on the type, the surface area required is between 12.7 mm x 12.7 mm and 30.99 mm x 25.4 mm, with a height range of 5.46 mm to 12.7 mm.

The B8272x EMC components are RoHS-compatible and comply with UL 94 V-0. The devices offer a relatively high leakage inductance of up to 1.2% nominal inductance which reliably suppresses common-mode interference.
