I-PEX® MHF® 4L Micro-Coax Cable Assemblies

Lighthorse Technologies, Inc.’s micro-coax cable assemblies with I-PEX MHF 4L connectors have a compact form factor, making them suitable for small and portable electronic devices where space is limited. They are designed to handle high-frequency signals up to 12 GHz, making the MHF 4L ideal for applications such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, 5G, 4G LTE, and other wireless communication protocols. They offer excellent signal integrity and low insertion loss, ensuring reliable and high-quality signal transmission. These connectors are designed for surface-mount technology (SMT) and can be easily mounted on printed circuit boards (PCBs) for a streamlined assembly process. They feature a snap-on mating mechanism, allowing for quick and secure connections without the need for solder or additional tools.

I-PEX MHF 4L micro-coax cable assemblies are available in three cable types, and they exhibit exceptional flexibility and can fit seamlessly into any environment. The 0.81 mmØ coax is the thinnest cable offered and features great performance for its small size. The 1.13 mmØ coax is a robust cable and is commonly used in many wireless and electronic applications. The 1.17 LLmmØ coax features an extra layer of low-loss shielding, reducing insertion loss and increasing performance over longer lengths. The maximum mated height of the MHF® 4L connector is 1.2 mm on 0.81 mmØ coax and 1.4 mm on both 1.13 mmØ and 1.17 LLmmØ coax.
