MIKROE-5634 LED Ring 2 Click board™

Mikroelektronika's LED Ring 2 Click is a compact add-on board providing a circular-shaped electronic lighting solution. This board features three Texas Instruments LP5862 I²C-configurable high-performance LED matrix drivers. The LP5862 integrates eighteen constant current sinks for driving eighteen yellow LEDs. A standard yellow LED, the SML-LX0402SYC-TR, is used as a light source with a peak wavelength of 590 nm. With two additional LP5862 drivers, it is possible to realize a solution of fifty-four yellow LEDs arranged in a circular pattern. The LP5862 also supports the register configurable PWM dimming method for efficiently adjusting LED light brightness and full addressable SRAM, supporting entire SRAM data refresh and partial SRAM data update on demand to minimize the data traffic.

The LED Ring 2 Click significantly improves user experience in various animation and indication application areas like smart homes, gaming equipment, and other human-machine interaction (HMI) applications. It is supported by a mikroSDK-compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click board is a fully tested product, ready for use on systems equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.
