CHARX Hinged Vehicle Inlet Covers

Phoenix Contact CHARX hinged vehicle charging inlet covers are designed for electric commercial vehicles to add another layer of protection to the vehicle inlet. Whether for rugged EV applications or everyday charging, these hinged covers will protect the charging inlet while the vehicle is in use. Previously, caps were available with inlets to cover and protect the contact pins while the vehicle is not charging. These hinged vehicle inlet covers provide more comprehensive protection to the entire inlet, while still being easy to use for the operator. These products are intended for outdoor EV applications such as mining, construction, or airport use.

The hinged flaps are easy to open for charging access, spring-loaded, and robust. When these covers are mounted to a vehicle, they protect the inlet in demanding environmental conditions. With identical mounting points between different charging standards, these covers simplify the conversion process between Type 1 and Type 2 applications. Options are available to include an LED status display, and a charging stop button for the operator to monitor and abort the charging process if necessary.
