All models are highly suited to distributed power architectures from AC front ends with PFC to baseplate cooled ESG solutions and high voltage battery applications.

The precisely regulated fixed single outputs are 5 VDC (75 W and 150 W only), 12 VDC, 15 VDC, 24 VDC, 28 VDC (750 W only), and 48 VDC with remote sense as standard; the QHL750 features an additional 10 VDC/20 mA output. A trim function using external resistors allows output voltage adjustment on all other models. Remote On/Off is standard; the standby current is 10 mA when the module is inhibited.

All QHL models operate from a nominal 300 VDC input, with the 75 W units offering a wide input range of 180 VDC to 450 VDC, the 150 W to 600 W units a 180 VDC to 425 VDC range, and the 750 W models an input range of 200 VDC to 425 VDC.

The modules are fully protected against input UVLO (undervoltage lockout), output short circuit, and output overvoltage with thermal shutdown in overtemperature conditions. The converters are baseplate cooled and have a wide case operating temperature range of -40°C to +100°C/+105°C (750 W to +85°C) with a maximum operating altitude of 2,000 m (3,000 m for 75 W).

The converters are housed in industry-standard ¼ brick (75 W/150 W), ½ brick (300 W), and full-brick (600 W and 750 W) formats. The UL94V-0 plastic (DAP) case has an aluminum baseplate with corner inserts for chassis or heatsink mounting, and connection is via PCB pins.

The QHL series are high efficiency, ranging between 82% and 92% depending on the model. The units offer reinforced isolation of 3.0 kVAC input/output, 2.5 kVAC basic isolation input/case, and 0.5 kVAC functional isolation output/case. Standards include EN55032 Class A for conducted and radiated EMC emissions (with external components); UL/cUL62368-1 for ITE applications; LVD compliance certification evaluated to EN62368-1; EN61373 and MIL-STD-810F shock and vibration; and EN45545 for fire and smoke.
