Amphenol ICC Waterproof USB Type-C Connectors | DigiKey Daily

Amphenol ICC presents their waterproof USB Type-C connectors. These next generation connectors support a variety of protocols such as USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 specifications, and support high-speed transmission up to 10 gigabits-per-second. Additionally, they support an extended 5-amp current rating for USB power delivery. Other features include right angle stand-off and straddle mount configurations as well as available waterproof versions, made possible from the waterproof glue and added O-ring and liquid insert-mold implemented in the front end of the shell. The desire and attractiveness to use the USB 3.1 Type-C connector is increased due to its low profile and reversible plug and cable orientation product design, making it an ideal connector for emerging product designs.
