The concept of the product is a surface mount module which conveniently provides dual port USB data isolation from a single upstream port with full 5 V power, and 500 mA available from each downstream port. On this slide, the blue portion of the system block diagram shows the functions included in the NMUSB202MC. These include the functions of an isolated DC-DC converter, full speed USB isolator, USB Hub Controller, USB power switch and two isolated downstream ports. The dotted line shows the location of the isolation barrier in the module which provides effective breaking of ground loops and immunity to EMI in harsh environments as found in industrial and medical applications. The NMUSB202MC is compliant with the USB 2.0 standard.
