Tripp Lite Modular E3 Series 3-Phase UPS Systems are up to 97% efficient (depending on model voltage). 220/380 V models are up to 97% efficient—several percentage points higher than some competitive models. The 120/208 V models are up to 96% efficient—also several percentage points higher than some competitive models. Since the Tripp Lite UPS consumes less energy to operate, it save electricity costs. Also, since it consumes less energy, it generates less heat, reducing facility air conditioning and airflow management costs. Modular E3 Series 3-Phase UPS Systems feature two levels of efficient operation: Economy Mode (ECO Mode) (96-97% efficient at full load): when the UPS is in this mode, its inverter is off during normal operation (saving energy). When needed (during a blackout, for example) the inverter will automatically switch on. Therefore ECO Mode responds as an “On-Line, On-Demand” UPS System. This mode can be easily activated or deactivated using the front panel LCD display. On-line Mode (93-94% efficient at full load): when the UPS is in this mode, its inverter is continuously on. The difference between the two modes is a matter of user preference. Both modes are highly efficient, and both modes provide a high protection level.
